♦ For commissioned paintings I work from photographs. A number of photos are really helpful for me to get a feel for the character, and of course the physical characteristics of the subject.
♦ If you are interested in a painting contact me via email and we can discuss what you have in mind for your picture regarding size, background colours etc.
♦ I do ask for a 20% deposit when a picture is ordered, however there is no obligation to purchase the completed painting unless you are totally happy with it . But I do retain the deposit.
♦ I am extremely busy with commissions for paintings so unfortunately I do have to limit the number I take and there can be a few months wait.

♦ I paint in acrylic on either art board or canvas, art board is in fact gallery acceptable and gives a smooth finish while canvas has a textured appearance. Glass is not required for framing.

♦ I started painting on small wooden plaques to save people the expense involved in framing canvas or art board. As the plaque edges are routered they provide their own border. You can choose the size but the most common is
approx. 9" x 12"

House Signs and Miscellaneous Signs ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦ ♦
♦ Many people have their own design ideas for their signs which I try to implement. Other peole like me to come up with ideas for them. 
♦ I've painted a variety of miscellaneous signs ranging from a guinea pig menagerie to a Hairdressing Salon!

♦ Signs painted on wood are given numerous coats of protectant, however any painted surface exposed to the elements will deteriorate over time. I like people to be aware of this before they consider a painted sign.
